Against the charming backdrop of Round Top’s historic Henkel Square, Sapana unveiled its 2025 collection to a crowd of Texas fashion enthusiasts and tastemakers. The sustainable luxury brand, already beloved for its one-of-a-kind kantha quilt jackets, dazzled attendees with an expanded vision that includes shimmering sequined pieces and the brand’s first venture into menswear.
The presentation, styled by fashion authority Ellecia Knolle, transformed the quaint town square into a runway celebrating sustainable luxury at its finest. Guests mingled with Socorro Tequila cocktails in hand as models showcased pieces that merge heritage craftsmanship with contemporary silhouettes.
“What makes Sapana special is how we honor traditional South Asian textiles while creating pieces that feel relevant to today’s fashion landscape,” explains founder Jolie Helms, whose passion for repurposed vintage fabrics has driven the brand’s ethos since its inception.
The standout Tara Collection (meaning “star” in Sanskrit) introduces thoughtfully placed sequins that catch the light with every movement, offering versatile pieces that transition effortlessly from special occasions to elevated everyday wear. Meanwhile, the new men’s collection features relaxed Camp Shirts crafted from hand-selected vintage silk sarees and workwear-inspired Barn Coats.
The evening attracted a stylish crowd including designer Claire Zinnecker, lifestyle expert Cassandra King, and Houston media personality Courtney Zavala.
What’s clear from this presentation is that Sapana continues to carve a unique space in Texas fashion, offering pieces that tell stories through their fabrics while creating new narratives for sustainable luxury. As vintage textiles transform into contemporary treasures under Sapana’s direction, the brand proves that fashion’s future may well be found in honoring its past.
