FORE Kids ATX, the two-day charity event founded by Masters champion Sergio Garcia and his wife Angela Garcia, returned for its fourth annual edition on Nov. 6 and 7. This year, the Garcias announced a new partnership with their close friends and fellow philanthropists, Chris Harrison and Lauren Zima, to expand the reach of their organization. Nearly 500 attendees gathered to raise over $2 million for children’s charities, including Experience Camps, a new beneficiary introduced by Harrison and Zima, Dell Children’s Medical Center, Foster Village, Center for Child Protection and The UGLI Foundation, an anti-bullying organization founded by Angela Garcia.
A Night to Remember
The charitable festivities kicked off with the Par-TEE on Thursday, Nov. 6 at Omni Barton Creek in Austin. Beginning at 6 p.m., the event featured a cocktail reception, dinner, a live auction and panels from University of Texas national champion football coach and philanthropic leader Mack Brown and James Beard Award-winning chef and humanitarian José Andrés. Following the program, guests celebrated at the “After PAR-Tee” which featured live music from The Spazmatics. Guests donned Old-Spain inspired cocktail attire, showcasing bold colors, flowing ruffles, draped shawls and festive flair.
A Charitable Golf Tournament
The FORE Kids Golf Tournament took place on Friday, Nov. 7, with an 11 a.m. shotgun start at Fazio Canyons Golf Course at Omni Barton Creek. Participants included former professional soccer players Diego Forlán, Gabriel Batistuta and Joe Hart; professional golfers Abraham Ancer, David Puig and Josele Ballester; and more.
