Champion Sergio Garcia and philanthropist Angela Garcia proved once again that their vision extends far beyond the fairway. Their third annual FORE Kids ATX charity event transformed a November weekend into a powerful force for change, raising nearly $2 million to benefit central Texas children and families in need.
The weekend kicked off with the aptly named Par-TEE at Austin’s Four Seasons Hotel. The Nov. 1 soirée, hosted by television personality Chris Harrison as emcee, brought together an impressive roster of celebrities and changemakers. Comedian Ron White, former NFL star Derrick Johnson, and actresses Becca Tobin and Jamie-Lynn Sigler joined forces with motivational speaker Kondo Speaks, creating an atmosphere where entertainment met purpose. Guests were treated to a spectacular display of acrobatics and aerial artistry, while dinner and dancing rounded out the evening’s festivities.
From Party to Par: The FORE Kids ATX Tournament
The following morning saw the action shift to the prestigious Fazio Foothills Golf Course at Omni Barton Creek. The tournament, beginning with a 9 a.m. shotgun start, welcomed an impressive lineup of professional golfers and athletes. Notable players including Nick Watney, Patrick Reed, Abraham Ancer, and David Puig took to the greens, demonstrating that giving back can go hand-in-hand with competitive spirit.
This year’s FORE Kids ATX fundraising efforts will benefit four cornerstone organizations: Dell Children’s Medical Center, Foster Village, The Muny Conservancy Austin Youth Golf Academy, and The UGLI Foundation. Each organization represents an aspect of youth development and support, from medical care and foster family assistance to anti-bullying initiatives and youth golf programming.
A Legacy in the Making
As FORE Kids ATX concludes its third successful year, the Garcias’ commitment to central Texas youth continues to grow stronger. The nearly $2 million raised marks not just a financial milestone, but a testament to the power of bringing together community leaders, athletes, and entertainers in the spirit of philanthropy.Learn more at www.forekidsatx.org.
